Labyrinth

When I am working I think of creating an atmosphere in some senses. I have been doing artworks where the piece is not solely about visual experience; it is also for senses other than vision. This particular one is an experiential work too. I have tried to create a space, where one treads into the space alone on the path created and experiences silence. My intention here is to create a space that is for anybody to be by themselves.

Here it is covered by a blanket of dead leaves collected from the campus, there is the smell of the leaves from around the campus, may be need, mango, whatever they may be… and the canopy to support and shelter the resting or contemplating mind that is inside.

This work is covered in three different creepers that will bloom at different times of the year, keeping it covered in flowers throughout the year. To begin with, it is in a blanket of dry leaves.
