Payana
'Payana' which means journey in old Kannada charts the journey of several antique objects collected by the artist, all
wrapped in 'kambli', a material worn by goat herds as protection from all types of weather. As the journey progresses
some of the objects begin to display the human emotion of attachment and refuse to travel and seem to fly off the cart in
protest. The installation included a modified lamp that was fixed with a dimmer that allowed the artist to simulate the progress
through the day from sunrise to darkness implicating time as a essential accomplice to travel.
