I wonder why

In a project curated by Fumio Nanjo, the artist collected objects that had been part of riots in the country. Srinivasa coated these objects with charcoal, symbolic of the remanants of the human form. At the Biennale the work was shown with a series of nine projectors all simultaneous projecting the image of fire situated in a room with no air-conditioning at the height of the Singapore summer, in order to create the sensation of an intense all-consuming flame.
