Thirteenth Day
It is believed that on the thirteenth day after death, soul starts its journey towards home (almighty). On that day favourite meal of the dead is cooked and distributed.
Food is an integral part of most rituals and ceremonies. Rice (food) is so significant in ones life that every important ritual is marked with the use of rice. When the child
starts eating first solid meal, rice is cooked and a celebration happens; ritual of starting education is done by making the child write on rice; sacred drawings are drawn
with rice on the floor on the day before wedding; in death uncooked rice is filled in the mouth of the dead. Whatever may be the food, whatever may be the culture,
food is most essential for everyone. So, I have tried to integrate it by a collage of Indian meal on Swiss leaves.
