The Tipu Dilawar Mill is made in Channapatna using traditional wood-lathe techniques that date back to the 18th century. Turned from locally sourced Hale Maara ivory wood and finished with lac resin applied under heat and friction, each mill has a smooth, lustrous surface and a ceramic crush-grind mechanism. Made in collaboration with artist and designer Moe Redish.
